Vlogging Every Weekday in September!

Wednesday September 12th, 2012

Lately I have been making videos!  That's right!  Me!  On a more than regular basis.  Ever since moving back from Las Vegas it's been much harder for me to focus on youtube, music, and everything else I did due to the fact that I've picked up so many more time consuming hobbies when returning to my homeland in Wisconsin.  I haven't liked the fact that I've had to shy away from YouTube in the timetables of things I like to do so I've decided along with my friend Adam to vlog every weekday of September.  For the sake of not filling up this front page with video after video (I've made 7 of them at the point of writing this lil' message here) I'm going to post 3 of the videos.  If you'd like to see the rest simply follow the annotation links that appear at the end of each video.  So without further adoooooo!  Enjoy!  The first one on the list is the most recent (and most time consuming of them all!)

This next one is from a couple days prior (Monday's video if I remember correctly)

And lastly, this is the first video for the Vlogging Every Day in September challenge!

Hope you enjoy and make sure to check out the rest if you do!

Dr. Noise - The Game (Point & Click Adventure)

Friday August 3rd, 2012

So I've always been a huge lover of adventure games from the late 80's and the 1990's.  The adventure genre THRIVED like nobody's business.  Leisuire Suit Larry, Police Quest, Space Quest, King's Quest, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, the list goes on and on.  Needless to say I've spent hours upon hours on adventure games since the day I started playing with computers.

Well, I decided the time had come that I tried making my own adventure game, though I don't have the skills to do so.  So, next best thing.  I do know how to make videos and how to use YouTube... so I've made a fully working point & click adventure out of Youtube using their annotations system.  Now doing this is a pain the arse... once an object or conversation changes, the story line is affected.  What this means is you now can no longer use any of the videos used pre-conversation/item collection.  So it requires tons of videos set in parts.  The result?  237 videos I've had to render 2 or  3 times each.  As far as annotations?  just under 1000 total.  It took at the very least 80 hours to make this game possible so I hope you enjoy the half hour to an hour it takes you to play it.  Please feel free to leave comments and let me know how you like it and also if you find any bad links/annotations that need to get fixed.  I WILL be looking at the comments (as always) so feel free to write.  Without further ado, enjoy my game... Dr. Noise - The Game!

You can play the game right here without leaving this page (though the annotations sometimes get cut off, this can be solved by click the full screen button in the lower right hand corner of the video)

Due to my impressive inability to remember to update this website with stuffs, here's a video I posted like 3 weeks ago. :) I re-recorded an acoustic "videosong" style video for Sub-Reality to not only revisit the song, but also to enter it into an application to play the open mic stage at Vidcon2012.  As it turns out, I WILL be playing the open mic at vidcon th is year.  Woo!

The Dr. Noise Funderaiser Raffle! (Finished)

Tuesday February 7th, 2012

So, 2012 has hit!  It's a brand new year and I'm having a fundraiser!  If you're not aware by now, I drive a race car at a race track in La Crosse, WI called the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway.  On March 3rd we are having a raffle.  The winner will win $150, 2nd place will get $100, and 3rd will get $50.  I know almost 100% of my viewers will not be able to go to the raffle, but that doesn't mean you can't still be apart of it!

As an added incentive to those who buy raffle tickets online... anyone who buys even one ticket online will get FREE MUSIC.  This includes any song I've ever written on any CD.  Period.  Just one ticket will buy you 5 free songs of YOUR choice.  Once you make your purchase you will be contacted at which point you can respond with the 5 songs you want the absolute most.  This also includes upcoming TROCK songs which will be coming out in the coming weeks!

Already own all the songs or want something new?  No big deal.  If you'd like upcoming songs (from the next coming TROCK CD) then consider it done!  Not only will you get them, but you'll get them the moment they're finished.  Not when they make it to YouTube or on Album Release day...but right away!

So there you have it!  My gift to you in the hopes that you'll help me and my fundraiser from all corners of the world.  The tickets are VERY cheap.  Only 3 dollars a piece and there's even deals on 5 or more tickets!  Use the Paypal button below and earn your chance to win some money AND to get 5 FREE songs of your choice!!

Once you click the Buy Now link you will be able to choose the amount of tickets and the cost!

New Bits Starting to Form

Tuesday February 7th, 2012

Slowly but surely things are beginning to exist.  Due the the fact that my old website has been rendered entirely useless.  I'm posting this up here in place of it simply to have SOMETHING up.  Something is better than a page full of broken links.  I'm doing my best to have this ready in the next couple of days.  I've also got some fundraiser things I'm going to throw up here that everyone across the globe who would like to can participate in.

Recorded a new vocal track today for a new TROCK song. Aww yeah, Happy to hear a new Trock song finally finished.  Or at least damn close.  I'd like to mix/master it one more time to make sure the levels are to my pleasing, but as it stands now. I'm happy with the result.  In fact, time to listen to it while I work on this here website!

Oh, you can't hear it?  awww.  Then I guess you better keep checking back here.  When this website is finished it may just be here.  Woo!
